My August Essential Rewards!

I just received my Young Living August Essential Rewards order in the mail!  This month I decided to order some things I knew my family would need for the upcoming school year, especially for the fall and winter months.  Are you prepared?  If not, I would love to chat with you.  Feel free to contact me!

Do you know about Essential Rewards (ER)?

ER is Young Living’s monthly auto-ship program.  This is NOT a requirement to become a Wholesale Member.  Once you are a member, I highly encourage checking it out, because it will save you money and earn you FREE items of your choosing at the same time.  For more information, click on Essential Rewards.

What did I order for August?

August ER order

V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex

When I first began using Young Living Essential Oils, I started with the Premium Starter Kit.  To be honest, I had NO clue what to do with the oils as soon as I got them.  They sat on my table for a few days, before I decided to give them a try.  I also was overwhelmed at my choices for a carrier oil.  Most of the essential oils recommend using a carrier oil to dilute the essential oil before applying it topically or using it as a dietary supplement.  Thankfully, I have an amazing “upline/enroller” who made the process of learning much easier.  She recommended starting with the most basic staple in my pantry – coconut or olive oil.  Both of these carrier oils work perfectly fine, but ever since I got my hands on Young Living’s V-6, it is all I will ever use!

V-6 is Young Living’s carrier oil.  It is made with organically grown coconut, sesame, grape, sweet almond, wheat, sunflower and olive oils.  It is used to dilute essential oils or for a massage.  It leaves the skin feeling smooth and nourished.*  What I love most about V-6 is there is no greasy or sticky residue and it will not clog pores or stain clothes!*

This month I ordered the large 32 oz. economy sized bottle to refill my smaller 8 oz. bottles.  I do have to say, this bottle lasts my family of 4 a very long time.  A little goes a long way!

Raven Essential Oil

Raven essential oil is great for the fall and winter.  We use it interchangeably with Ravintsara and R.C. essential oils.  They all provide a comforting and cooling aroma when applied topically or diffused.*  Raven is unique, because it is considered a “cleansing” oil blend.*  It contains the essential oils:  Ravintsara, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Lemon and Eucalyptus Radiata.

R.C. Essential Oil

R.C. is a Young Living best seller!  Since it is a favorite for many, it is now one of the 11 essential oils included in the Premium Starter Kit.  I’d say R.C. along with Thieves essential oil are the top 2 best sellers during back-to-school season!

What is R.C.?  It is an invigorating blend of Eucalyptus Globulus, Radiata, Citriodora, Myrtle, Spruce, Peppermint, Pine, Lavender, Marjoram, Cypress and the naturally occurring constituent limonene.  It creates a “spa-like” or calming atmosphere when diffused or inhaled directly.*  It is cooling and soothing when massaged with V-6 onto the chest and neck and even the bottoms of the feet before bedtime.*  As I said above, we alternate using R.C. with Raven and Ravintsara as often as needed.

SniffleEase Essential Oil

This is a NEW oil for my family!  SniffleEase is one of the 6 essential oil blends found in Young Living’s KidScents Oil Collection.  We were so excited when it was announced these oils were available individually!  We have been eager to try all of them, but SniffleEase was at the top of the list!  You know this will be a great one for the back-to-school season!

So, what is the KidScents Oil Collection?  It contains essential oil blends which were specifically formulated and designed just for kids.  Each oil blend represents a pure and natural alternative that can help comfort children through the common ups and downs of childhood.*

What is SniffleEase?  It is a rejuvenating and refreshing blend of Eucalyptus Blue, Palo Santo, Lavender, Dorado Azul, Ravintsara, Myrtle, Eucalyptus Globulus, Marjoram, Pine, Eucalyptus Citriodora, Cypress, Eucalyptus Radiata, Black Spruce and Peppermint oils.*    It can be applied topically or diffused up to 1 hour 3 times daily.

I feel like we have officially entered full-blown winter season, maybe because it looks like a blizzard outside here in the Midwest!  Well, here I will tell you what Young Living Essential Oils my family has been diffusing like crazy!  Here are what we believe to be “6 Winter Diffuser Musts!”

Immune Support

Thieves and ImmuPower are our musts for immune support.  We usually alternate them during the winter months or as needed.

Thieves is an essential oil blend made up of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata and Rosemary.  This blend is best known for its cleansing abilities and eliminating airborne bacteria.  It is highly effective in supporting a healthy immune system and good health.*

ImmuPower is an essential oil blend made up of Hyssop, Mountain Savory, Cistus, Camphor, Frankincense, Oregano, Clove, Cumin and Dorado azul.  This powerful essential oil creates a protective barrier and increases positive energy.*

Purify and Cleanse

Purification and Lemon are our musts to purify and cleanse the air.  We combine both of these essential oils into our diffuser.  Click on, “Homemade Air Freshener with Essential Oils,” to see another way we use this combination.

Purification is an essential oil blend made up of Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Melaleuca, Lavandin and Myrtle.  It is best known for its ability to cleanse impurities from surroundings while deodorizing and neutralizing the air.*

Lemon is a powerful single essential oil.  It is best known for its uplifting fresh aroma, its antioxidant and cleansing properties as well as its support for the nervous system.*

R.C. is an essential oil blend made up of Eucalyptus globulus, Myrtle, Marjoram, Pine, Eucalyptus radiata, Eucalyptus citriodora, Lavender, Cypress, Spruce and Peppermint.  It is best known for its respiratory support especially during the cold winter months.*

Raven is an essential oil blend made up of Ravensara, Lemon, Wintergreen, Peppermint and Eucalyptus Radiata.  It also is known for its comforting properties and support for the respiratory system.*

Uplift and Refresh

Sometimes during those winter months, you need to uplift and refresh your mood and Joy and Lemon are our musts!  Click on, “My Morning Routine with Essential Oils,” to see another way in which I personally use Joy daily.

Joy is an essential oil blend made up of Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon, Coriander, Tangerine, Jasmine, Roman chamomile, Palmarosa and Rose.  It is uplifting and refreshing for moods and inspires happiness all around.  It is the perfect oil to diffuse for everyday stress or if you need a little more energy to get you through the day.*  It’s also known to enhance romance and togetherness.*

  2. Fill the rest of the diffuser with distilled or purified water
  3. Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily

Blues Buster

Sometimes being stuck indoors for days on end during the winter months can make a person feel “blue.”  We call this trio our, “Blues Buster.”  Orange, Lavender and Frankincense in the diffuser are our musts!

Orange is a multi-purpose single essential oil.  It is commonly known to support a healthy immune system, promote relaxation and positive emotions.*

Lavender is the most well-known single essential oil.  It is the, “swiss army knife,” of essential oils.  It is commonly used for relaxation and occasional sleeplessness.  It also can reduce everyday stress of the mind and body.*

Frankincense is one of the oldest single essential oils.  It is commonly used to increase spiritual awareness, calm and soothe the body and mind while providing support to the nervous system.*

Diffuser Directions

  1. Add 4 drops each of Orange, Lavender and Frankincense to the diffuser
  2. Fill the rest of the diffuser with distilled or purified water
  3. Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily

Relax and Sleep

Lavender and/or Peace & Calming are our musts to help us relax and sleep.  We usually alternate them in the diffuser during the winter months or as needed.

Lavender as seen above is commonly used for relaxation and occasional sleeplessness.

Peace & Calming is an essential oil blend made up of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Blue Tansy.  Just as the name states, it is commonly known to help bring peace and calm to the mind and body.  It is perfect to diffuse after a long day to help you wind down.

Diffuser Directions

  1. Pick either Lavender or Peace & Calming
  2. Add 6-8 drops of one of the essential oils to the diffuser
  3. Fill the rest of the diffuser with distilled or purified water
