Peace & Calming II© and Valor II© available NOW!

II

Yes!  You read that correctly!  Young Living just announced two NEW essential oil blends this week, Peace & Calming II™ and Valor II™!  These are not replacing the original Valor® and Peace & Calming® blends,  they are just new formulations that offer the same great essential oil experience.  Also, they will be more readily available and permanent additions to Young Living!  Woohoo!

Peace & Calming ® and Valor® are favorites for many!  They frequently are listed out-of-stock, because of an unpredicted heavy rainfall last season.  Young Living only wants to provide the best, so in the meantime, they have introduced similar versions of these oils that offer the same benefits.  I am so excited to try them!  What’s even better is when Peace & Calming® and Valor® return, these will work together wonderfully!

What is Peace & Calming II©?

This blend includes:  Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, German Chamomile, Vetiver, Cistus, Bergamot, Cassia, Davana and Young Living’s exclusive Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oils.  It also includes the natural constituents germacrene D, linalol, alphapinene and bisabolol.*  The original Peace & Calming® contains:  Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Blue Tansy.  The new oil blend still creates a relaxing aroma when diffused, but also supports the skin.*

What is Valor II©?

This blend includes:  Young Living’s exclusive Northern Lights Black Spruce and Idaho Blue Spruce essential oils as well as Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Vetiver, CistusBergamot, Cassia, German Chamomile, Rosewood, Matricaria and Davana oils.  It also includes the natural constituents linalol, alphapinene, camphene, and limonene.*  The original Valor® contains:  Spruce, Rosewood, Blue Tansy and Frankincense oils.  The new oil blend still creates an uplifting and calming aroma.*

How do you order these new oils?

If you are already a member and on Essential Rewards (ER), you can order these oils with your accrued points and possibly get these for FREE.  I know that is what I plan on doing!  Or if you are an Essential Rewards (ER) member and you haven’t placed your monthly order yet, you can just add these oils to your cart.  Click on Essential Rewards (ER) to learn more about Young Living’s optional monthly auto ship program.

8 BEST Diffuser Blends for Sleep!

Many people wrestle with restlessness and yearn for a peaceful night’s sleep.  I am one of those people!  Like many, I feel like crashing in the afternoon every single day, but as soon as I hit the bed at night, I am WIDE awake.  Who can relate?!  One of the many reasons I was excited to venture into using essential oils was to find a natural solution for sleep!  There are many Young Living Essential Oils to aid with occasional sleeplessness.*  They can be used aromatically, topically and as a dietary supplement.*  Here I will explain what oils I use aromatically in a diffuser!  These are just some of my favorites.  What is so fun about essential oils is you can keep experimenting until you find what works best for you!

Check out my diffuser blends for sleep

diffuser for sleep

What is RutaVala Essential Oil?

RutaVala is an essential oil blend made with Ruta, Lavender and Valerian essential oils.  It is great for relaxing the mind and body and promoting sleep.*  Diffused an hour before bedtime RutaVala can help ease any tension or stress.*  What makes RutaVala more unique than the other oils used for sleep?  It is already formulated and blended for you!  Not only that, the refreshing scent is lovely!  Many people even use it topically in Young Living’s Roll-On for an added effect or just as an everyday perfume.

Lavender and Peace & Calming

This is my favorite blend to use for bedtime.  We sometimes diffuse both Lavender and Peace & Calming together or diffuse them individually as well.  In almost all of these blends, you will see Lavender essential oil.   In past blog posts, I have talked about Lavender being the “Swiss Army Knife” of essential oils, because you can literally use it for almost everything.   Its most common use is for relaxation and sleep.*  If you use “true” Lavender, such as Young Living’s Lavender Essential Oil, you will safely experience the real benefits of this oil.*  To learn more about 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils, check out my page – Why Choose Young Living?

Peace & Calming is an essential oil blend made with Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli.  Peace & Calming has been a favorite in my house since my daughter was born.  As you know, infants can wake up numerous times a night.  Once we started using Peace & Calming, our nights have been way more peaceful.*  This blend alone made us essential oil believers.

Lavender and Bergamot

We know Lavender is great for relaxing the mind and body, but why add Bergamot?  It is used for hormonal support and adds a sweet citrus scent to the diffuser blend.  Citrus oils can aid in relaxation as well,  but they are excellent for uplifting moods!*  This blend can help you go to sleep with a smile on your face.  😉

Frankincense and Vetiver

This blend is a personal favorite of mine.  I use Frankincense daily in my diffuser necklace.  Check out my blog post – Essential Oil Diffuser Necklace.  Frankincense helps me with everyday stress and tension.*  It can be used for so many other things, but for me, this is one of my favorites for that reason.  I also love the stimulating aroma!

Many people use Vetiver aromatically and topically.  According to Dr. Terry Friedmann, “this oil is one of the highest in sesquiterpenes and can be used to improve children’s behavior.”*  “It is psychologically grounding, calming and stabilizing.”*  On a side note, this oil is VERY thick, so do not be alarmed if you have never used it before.  Sometimes adding a glass dropper to the bottle can make it easier for application.

So why these two together?  It is just another option when I feel like changing things up.  Like I said, I use Frankincense daily already, so as I sleep it is an added bonus.  These oils work well together and have a fantastic aroma when combined.

Lavender, Cedarwood, Peace & Calming

Sometimes we add Cedarwood to the diffuser blend of Lavender and Peace & Calming.  Why Cedarwood?  It can add a different aroma to the mix.  It has an outdoor, woodsy aroma.  It is also known for its soothing and calming abilities when massaged topically with a carrier oil to the skin.*  If it relaxes the body when used topically, it more than likely will relax the body when used aromatically.*  Like I said, it’s all about experimentation with different combinations.

Lavender, Roman Chamomile and Vetiver

We now know Lavender and Vetiver are used for calming the mind and body and aiding in sleep.*  Why add Roman Chamomile?  Because, this is one of the most gentle of the essential oils and it is great for small children along with the oils, Lavender and Vetiver.  This is a combination we would diffuse in our kids room for a restful nights sleep.*

Lavender, Vetiver, Valerian and Orange

Valerian is an essential oil in the RutaVala blend.  According to Young Living, “Valerian has been clinically investigated for its relaxing properties.  Researchers have pinpointed the sesquiterpenes, valerenic acid and valerone as the active constitutes that exert a calming and restorative effect on the central nervous system.”*

Orange is one of my favorite citrus oils.  It is also a relaxant, but its citrus aroma also can uplift spirits and moods.*  It can help the mind feel at peace and bring about a sense of happiness.*  It is in the Peace & Calming blend as well.  More importantly, it contains the powerful antioxidant d-limonene, which can assist in maintaining a healthy immune system.*

Lavender, Bergamot, Patchouli and Ylang Ylang

This combination is very similar to the Lavender and Peace & Calming diffuser blend, but with the added benefit of Bergamot.  Patchouli and Ylang Ylang are a few of the oils in Peace & Calming.  Bergamot gives this blend the citrus kick for uplifting moods, but also the extra relaxation properties for a better nights rest.

I realize many of these diffuser blends are similar, but sometimes the slight change in a recipe can make a difference in how you feel.  Keep trying until you find something that works for you!

Uplift and Refresh

Sometimes during those winter months, you need to uplift and refresh your mood and Joy and Lemon are our musts!  Click on, “My Morning Routine with Essential Oils,” to see another way in which I personally use Joy daily.

Joy is an essential oil blend made up of Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon, Coriander, Tangerine, Jasmine, Roman chamomile, Palmarosa and Rose.  It is uplifting and refreshing for moods and inspires happiness all around.  It is the perfect oil to diffuse for everyday stress or if you need a little more energy to get you through the day.*  It’s also known to enhance romance and togetherness.*

Blues Buster

Sometimes being stuck indoors for days on end during the winter months can make a person feel “blue.”  We call this trio our, “Blues Buster.”  Orange, Lavender and Frankincense in the diffuser are our musts!

Orange is a multi-purpose single essential oil.  It is commonly known to support a healthy immune system, promote relaxation and positive emotions.*

Lavender is the most well-known single essential oil.  It is the, “swiss army knife,” of essential oils.  It is commonly used for relaxation and occasional sleeplessness.  It also can reduce everyday stress of the mind and body.*

Frankincense is one of the oldest single essential oils.  It is commonly used to increase spiritual awareness, calm and soothe the body and mind while providing support to the nervous system.*

Diffuser Directions

  1. Add 4 drops each of Orange, Lavender and Frankincense to the diffuser
  2. Fill the rest of the diffuser with distilled or purified water
  3. Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily

Relax and Sleep

Lavender and/or Peace & Calming are our musts to help us relax and sleep.  We usually alternate them in the diffuser during the winter months or as needed.

Lavender as seen above is commonly used for relaxation and occasional sleeplessness.

Peace & Calming is an essential oil blend made up of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Blue Tansy.  Just as the name states, it is commonly known to help bring peace and calm to the mind and body.  It is perfect to diffuse after a long day to help you wind down.

Diffuser Directions

  1. Pick either Lavender or Peace & Calming
  2. Add 6-8 drops of one of the essential oils to the diffuser
