Young Living New Product Recap and Review

The 2015 Young Living International Grand Convention took place this August.  I had the honor of attending with a great friend and oiler at J’adore Oils.  This blog post is more delayed than I would have liked, but it took me awhile to process all of the information and excitement I encountered over our 4 day stay!  This was truly an experience I will remember.  One of the most exciting parts was the introduction of the newest Young Living products.  It was fun to be able to see, touch, taste and try them.  Here I will give you a recap of the new products and a short personal review.

Light the Fire Essential Oil Blend
(Retail $58.88, Wholesale $44.75)

light the fire

This blend was specifically formulated by D. Gary Young for the celebration of the “Light the Fire” 2015 Convention.  This spicy “fiery” blend contains Nutmeg, Cassia, Mastrante, Ocotea, Canadian Fleabane, Lemon, Pepper, Hinoki and Northern Lights Black Spruce oils.  It  also contains the naturally occurring constituents beta-caryophyllene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene and limonene.*  This wonderful combination creates an invigorating aroma when diffused and makes for a pleasant experience when used topically with a carrier oil.*

I have to say, one whiff of this blend and you could literally feel “Light the Fire” come alive!  It has a spicy hot aroma with a strong cinnamon scent (which comes from the Ocotea oil).  I think this will be the ideal oil to diffuse during the fall season.  Did you know you can completely eliminate candles from your home when you begin using Young Living Essential Oils?  Oils are the best alternative to candles, because they are all-natural, completely toxin-free, 100% pure, safe for the whole family, have added benefits and much more!*  This special blend may be offered for a limited time, so get your hands on it while it’s “hot!”  You can contact me with any questions!

Northern Lights Black Spruce Essential Oil (Retail $37.83, Wholesale $28.75)

Northern Lights bottle

This treasure was the first oil distilled at Young Living’s new Northern Lights farm in British Columbia, Canada.  It is 100% Northern Lights Black Spruce with naturally occurring constituents alpha-pinene, camphene and beta-pinene for supporting normal health and wellness.*  It also maintains healthy skin.*  You will find this oil in Valor II, Shutran, Harmony, Awaken, Envision, Grounding, R.C., Relieve It and White Angelica essential oil blends.  It can be diffused or applied topically.

My first experience with this oil was when they diffused it into the entire large convention room when it was being introduced on stage.  I couldn’t believe how quickly the aroma filled the air in such a huge space!  I’m not sure what kind of giant diffuser they had hiding somewhere, but it was awesome!  Haha!  It reminded me of sitting at a 4-D movie!  I immediately fell in love with the aroma!  I also was able to try it out topically during the expo.  My experience with this oil was very similar to my experience with Young Living’s Valor essential oil.*

Lavender and Peppermint Essential Peel 10-Packs

(Retail $19.74, Wholesale $15.00)

Essential Peel image

What?!  How cool are these!  Ready to use cotton pads with either Lavender or Peppermint essential oil.  These are perfect for on-the-go or for a quick one time oil use.  Oh, and after use, DO NOT DISCARD the cotton pad!  Why, you might ask?  As an added bonus, put the cotton pad in a vent at home or in a car vent to diffuse the oil for a lasting benefit.

We were given free samples of the Peppermint Essential Peel at the Convention.  I specifically saved mine for the Young Living Foundation 5K we were running (aka walking) the next night. 😉  This handy new product was more ideal than carrying a bottle of the oil along with us.  It worked perfectly for cooling us off during the 5k in the 100 degree Texas heat!*

Dino Land Ultrasonic Diffuser

(Retail $120.72, Wholesale $91.75)

Dino diffuser image

If you have children and are already using essential oils, you know they will LOVE this!  This diffuser is an atomizer, aroma diffuser and a night-light all in one.  The Dino cover is removable and interchangeable.  You can see the light and aroma misting from the “erupting” volcano with dinosaurs surrounding.

My kids are very intuitive and they immediately fell in love with using essential oils, so having their own kid diffuser will be so exciting!  I had a sneak peek of this diffuser before I left for the convention and I was told by my young son (a Jurassic Park/World fan), I HAD to bring this one home!  Haha!  Since I already received my Essential Rewards order for August, I promised if they were available I would try to add one to my September Essential Rewards order.  Now, I am the one anxious to have one!  I know Young Living strives for the best quality, but I was totally impressed with how well-made these were!  They are solid and won’t tip over easily, which make it an excellent choice for a kid’s room!

Dolphin Reef Ultrasonic Diffuser

(Retail $124.67, Wholesale $94.75)

The Dolphin Reef Diffuser works very similarly to the Dino Land Diffuser and both of these covers can be interchanged.  The aroma mist comes out of the coral in this diffuser and also has an open clam to set jewelry or other small treasures on.

Again, when I first saw these diffusers, I was impressed.  Not only are they well-made, but they will appeal to just about all kids.  Also, both kids and parents will love how super user-friendly these are too!

Cool Azul Sports Gel

(Retail $52.30, Wholesale $39.75)

Cool Azul Sports Gel bottle image

Young Living members have been wanting a product like this one!  Cool Azul Sports Gel is an all-in-one essential oil and aloe massage gel.  The 3.4 oz. bottle contains Peppermint, Wintergreen, Sage, Oregano, Lavender, Blue Cypress, Elemi, Dorado Azul and Vetiver essential oils in an aloe vera base.  The oils make up 10% of the bottle.  This combination is perfect for before or after exercise, strenuous physical activity, during massages and more!*  When applied to the area of need, it creates a cooling sensation to refresh and relax the body.*  It also helps to hydrate the skin.*

First of all, I loved the convenience of this bottle.  You could throw it in a purse or small bag with no problems.  You may have seen my short review of this one on my Facebook page.  I was approached to try this at the Young Living expo and I was so tempted to lift up my pant legs and rub it on my legs!  Haha!  After days of standing and walking, I thought this would feel amazing!*  Well, I didn’t want to draw attention to myself, so I just massaged a little on my arm. 😉  I immediately felt the cooling similar to what Peppermint essential oil feels like alone, but more like a lotion.  It rubbed in completely to my arm and didn’t leave any residue!  I felt it working for quite awhile too!  Thumbs up for Cool Azul Sports Gel!

Thieves Dish Soap

(Retail $18.09, Wholesale $13.75)

Thieves Dish Soap

I believe there was a round of applause when the new Thieves products were introduced!  If you have used the Thieves Household Cleaner and if you love Thieves essential oil, you will more than likely love these products too!  Now, you do not have to make homemade dish soap or hunt the store shelves for the perfect natural one.  Young Living’s Thieves Dish Soap is guaranteed to be pure, all-natural, free of dyes and synthetics.  It contains Thieves, Jade Lemon and Bergamot essential oils as well as other plant-based ingredients.  These all work well together to make all of your dishes sparkly clean!*

One of the first things I do when I am picking out a new dish soap or laundry soap is I smell them.  I naturally am drawn to the lemon scent, because I think it smells fresh and clean.  Thieves dish soap is just that!  Not only does it smell fresh and clean, but you can tell a difference, because with Thieves soap, I am smelling REAL and PURE lemon.  What I also love most about this and the other Thieves products is that I know I am providing my family with something SAFE.*

Thieves Laundry Soap

(Retail $37.83, Wholesale $28.75)

Thieves Laundry Soap

You can now do laundry with Thieves Laundry Soap!   This also contains plant-based ingredients, enzymes and essential oils, such as:  Thieves, Jade Lemon, Bergamot, Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon and Rosemary.  It gently washes your clothes leaving them clean with a light citrus scent.*  It can be used in ALL washers including high-efficiency machines.  It is a 32 fl. oz. bottle with a (6X) concentrated formula, which will provide soap for 64 loads of laundry!  Awesome!

My first reaction to the Thieves Laundry Soap was, “Oh, that’s a small bottle.”  BUT, then I realized it is concentrated and it will last a VERY long time!  I hate lifting heavy bottles anyways.  Haha!  The smell of the laundry soap is similar to the dish soap.  It was one of those things that smells so good you want to eat it!

Thieves Fruit & Veggie Combo Pack

(Retail $32.57, Wholesale $24.75)

Thieves fruit spray

No more searching Pinterest or trying to find the best DIY fruit and vegetable cleaner!  Young Living created Thieves Fruit & Veggie Combo Pack to wash your produce at home or on-the-go.  As Young Living states, “Enjoy eating fruits and vegetables as nature intended.”  This is made with naturally derived ingredients and with Thieves, Purification and DiGize essential oil blends.  It comes with a larger bottle to clean your produce at home and with a smaller 2 oz. bottle to clean your produce when you are out.

I seriously was just tossing around ideas to make my own fruit and vegetable cleaner using Young Living Essential Oils.  This was a nice surprise!  I love that it comes in a combo pack.  I know there have been numerous times when I am eating out at a cafeteria or a buffet and I do not grab the fruit, because I feel like it isn’t clean.  The 2 oz. bottle will come in handy!

Pure Protein Complete

(Retail $85.53, Wholesale $65.00)

Pure Protein image

If you are interested in learning more about Young Living’s Pure Protein Complete, I would encourage you to check out their Product Information Pages.  It has a lot of information in great detail.  Click on Pure Protein Complete – Chocolate and Pure Protein Complete – Vanilla.

I was given samples of these on the last convention day.  The Chocolate Deluxe was definitely my favorite, but Vanilla Spice had a good flavor too!  The information booth had some wonderful recipes to try with using these protein blends.  Click on Protein Power for some ideas.

Slique Bars Chocolate-Coated – 6 pack

(Retail $23.36, Wholesale $17.75)

Slique Bars image

If you have enjoyed Young Living Slique Bars before, you will love these!  These are the newest bars which are coated in dark chocolate!  Yum!  They are loaded with exotic baru nuts and almonds for protein and fiber.  They also contain potato skin extract, which, believe it or not, creates a feeling of fullness.*   Some other ingredients include:  goldenberries, wolfberries, pure cinnamon, vanilla and orange essential oils which make this a healthy, nutritious and filling snack!*  Slique Bars are intended to be a weight management tool to balance cravings while providing nutritious support.*  Click on Slique Bars to see the full Product Information Page.

We received a Slique Bar when we attended the Young Living Foundation 5k.  I am not one who normally eats bars, dried fruit or berries, but these had a delicious flavor!  They would be great for breakfast or a snack!

NingXia Zyng – 12 cans

(Retail $52.30, Wholesale $39.75)

Zyng image

So, what is NingXia Zyng?!  It is an 8.4 fl. oz. can of a refreshing sparkling beverage which may provide some “ZYNG” (aka energy) to your day!*  It is made with a blend of pure Black Pepper and Lime essential oils along with wolfberry puree and white tea extract.  It provides many vitamins and nutrients with no artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or preservatives.  What’s even better is it has only 35 calories per can!

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my photo of the Club Red bar at the Young Living expo.  Such a tremendous experience!  It was a real bar set-up with Young Living bartenders, NingXia products and essential oils.  This is where I had my first taste of NingXia Zyng.  I am not a “pop” or “soda” person and I usually do not like carbonated drinks, but this beverage tasted smooth and light with just the right amount of fruit.  Try it chilled and you won’t be disappointed!

Dead Sea Mud Soap and Bath Salts

(Retail $15.79 each, Wholesale $12.00 each)

Dead Sea image

Dead Sea Mud Soap and Bath Salts provide support for your skin with minerals ONLY found in the Dead Sea.  So cool!  The soap helps to cleanse and exfoliate your skin leaving a healthy glow.*  The salts bring a spa experience home.

I did not have the opportunity to try these 2 new items, but I’m wishing I did!  I love essential oil epsom salt baths, so I know the Dead Sea Bath Salts will be heavenly!

Master Formula

(Coming Soon!)

Master Formula

The new Master Formula will be available this fall!  It is a full-spectrum multi-nutrient complex with premium vitamins, minerals and food-based nutrients to support your health and wellness.*  In other words, this is the multivitamin you want to take daily!  Click on Master Formula to see the Product Information Page.
