DIY Spring Essential Oil Roll-On

Are you ready for Spring-

We are ready and preparing with our DIY Spring Essential Oil Roll-On.  I personally love this combination of oils, because of the support they can provide the sinuses and respiratory system.  This could benefit MANY people during the springtime!  But, even though this is a very common recipe, it’s important to remember what works for one may not work for another.  What is so great about essential oils is, you can tweak recipes to make them your “own,” or just find something completely different that works for you!  I definitely recommend investing in a helpful oil book if you are already using oils.  A book where you can look-up just about anything and it will give you detailed suggestions for oil use.  If you are not yet a Young Living member, I do give a FREE gift to all new enrollees ordering the Premium Starter Kit.  Please see my order oils page for more information.

Spring Essential Oil Roll-On Recipe –

springtime sinus support

Steps 1-3

Start with a dark glass bottle either one recycled from another oil or one you have purchased.  Check out my blog post Reusing Essential Oil Bottles to see how I clean and reuse my bottles.  If you are looking to purchase new bottles, Abundant Health has a large variety to choose from.

Once you have your bottle, add 30 drops of Lavender, 30 drops of Peppermint and 30 drops of Lemon Young Living Essential Oils (all are including in the Premium Starter Kit).  You can just line up the oil hole with the bottle or use a glass dropper to be more precise.

Step 4

After you’ve added all 3 essential oils, top off the rest of the bottle with a “carrier oil” or “seed oil” of your choice.  My family uses Young Living’s V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex.  This is made with Coconut, Sesame, Grape, Sweet Almond, Wheat, Sunflower and Olive oils.  It blends into the skin really well without leaving an oily residue and won’t clog pores.  It also won’t stain clothes or fabrics, which is a huge PLUS!  If you do not have V-6, you can use another seed oil such as, Coconut, Sesame, Jojoba, Almond, etc.

Step 6

Lastly, after the essential oils and V-6 or other carrier oil is added, then put your roller fitment onto the bottle with the cap.  I prefer using Young Living’s AromaGlide Roller Fitments, because they are made of metal.  Many roller-balls are made of plastic, which is not safe to use with citrus oils, because they can actually erode the plastic.  Once the roller and cap is on, you can shake the bottle lightly or roll it between your hands to mix the oils up throughly.  After you are done, add a label!

Ready to use!

We use this roll-on on the back of our necks, wrists or on our Vita-Flex points on the bottom of our feet.  We love the convenience of this bottle too.  It can very easily fit in a purse, bag or even pocket!
